Maeve Galvin
Program DIRECTOR, DEMOCRACY AT WORK FUND
Maeve Galvin has dedicated her career to social justice, labor rights, and environmental sustainability. Before joining FORGE, she directed social and environmental programs at Fashion Revolution, the world’s largest fashion campaigning organization. There, she led the Fashion Transparency Index, an annual assessment of the world’s biggest fashion brands on labor and environmental transparency, and spearheaded the What Fuels Fashion? campaign advocating for a just, clean energy transition.
Previously, she directed the Good Clothes, Fair Pay initiative for Fair Wear Foundation, which became the largest campaign on living wages in the fashion industry, pushing for EU-level wage legislation. She also spent three years at C&A Foundation (now Laudes Foundation), where she helped develop the organization’s first labor rights strategy and built grant portfolios in Bangladesh and Myanmar.
Earlier in her career, Maeve worked at the International Labour Organization (ILO) across the Better Factories Cambodia and Better Work programs. In Cambodia, she played a key role in launching a pioneering transparency initiative that improved working conditions in areas like benefits and health and safety.
