Leadership Transition at FORGE

FORGE announces that Executive Director Jana Morgan will be stepping down from her role, effective April 30, 2026.

After nearly three years leading FORGE through a period of growth and strategic evolution, Jana departs with a strong team in place, a fully operational Democracy at Work Fund, and a strong foundation to inform FORGE’s next phase.

Under her leadership, FORGE expanded its team and strengthened its global reach. She led FORGE through the development and launch of the Democracy at Work Fund as a grantmaking vehicle, deploying $1.4 million to 19 grassroots labor organizations across 11 countries in its first round and attracting nearly 700 applications for its second. She also secured $850,000 in new funding from outside FORGE’s core membership and expanded FORGE’s programming and partnerships during a period of significant change in the funding landscape.

Jana led FORGE through an exceptionally challenging time for the labor ecosystem with professionalism, strategic clarity, and a deep commitment to the workers and organizations it serves.
